Big Draw 2016
Big Draw Madison is a drawing-focused festival that brings people together around informal art-making! The first annual Big Draw Madison took place October 9-11, 2014, with the support of community partners Artist & Craftsman, Harmony Bar, local artists, and hundreds of participants. LUCK OF THE DRAW (VOL. 1) IS A SURVEY SHOW OF 75 CONTEMPORARY DRAWING BY ARTISTS FROM ACROSS THE UNITED STATES. AT THE END OF THE SHOW RUN INSTEAD OF RECEIVING THEIR OWN WORK BACK, ARTISTS WILL RECEIVE A RANDOMLY SELECTED DRAWING BY ANOTHER ARTIST FROM THE SHOW.

One of many drop-in activities taking place during the Big Draw (Jan 7-9), “Everybody Drawing Everything All At Once!” invites participants of all ages to take part in a wild afternoon of drawing and artistic play. Drawing games, portraits on Post-Its, self-serve sketching stations, scribbly scavenger hunts, DIY doodle instructions…and much more!
