Luck Of The Draw Artist Information
This is a private informational page for artists invited to participate in the Luck of the draw exhibition. Please do not share this link.
Luck of the Draw (Vol. 1) is a survey show of contemporary drawing at The Diane Endres Ballweg Gallery (Central Madison Public Library / Madison, WI) Each artist will display one drawing in the show. At the end of the show, rather than receiving their own work back, artists will instead receive a randomly selected drawing from the show.
Exhibition Dates: Jan. 8 - Feb. 26, 2016
Opening Reception: Fri., Jan. 8, 8 - 11:00PM. as part of The Bubbler program's NIGHT LIGHT series. In addition to the exhibition there will also be drawing activities throughout the evening in our large program space adjacent to the gallery.
Drawing Requirements: Drawings should be no larger than 24x30 inches (approx.). There is no minimum size. Drawing should be unframed as we will use map pins to install all of the work. We have done displays like this in the past and they look great and save a lot on shipping for a large survey show like this. We are open to all kinds of mediums and themes but do remind artists when selecting work that many members of the public, including children and families, use Madison Public Library. If you have any questions about requirements, please contact Trent Miller (Madison Public Library Curator) trentmiller49(at)gmail.com
Delivery Requirements: All work should arrive at Central Madison Public Library by Wed., Jan. 6. If you are dropping off work, please coordinate with Trent Miller via email. If you are mailing work, please ship flat or rolled work to the address below. Artists are responsible for the cost of shipping drawings to the exhibition. Madison Public Library will pay for shipping drawings to artists at the end of the show.
