Municipal Art Application
This application is for the one day MUNICIPAL ART EVENT taking place Sat. Dec. 10th 11am-6pm at the Madison Municipal Building (215 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Madison, WI). The Madison Municipal Building will be renovated starting in late December and this gives artists an opportunity to be part of an exciting one-day pop up event. The event will feature art and hands-on art activities and will be open for all-ages to attend. The building will be mostly empty of furniture, etc. by the date of the event. This is a juried event and all applications must be in by Sunday Nov. 20th. The jury will pick work based on application strength, artistic merit, and fit for the event. The building is large so big installations, performances, projections, participatory projects are possible. If you are interested in using materials from the building for your project please say so in the Exhibition Notes section of the application. This is a historic building so certain areas, walls, etc. will not be available to use.
(There is no specific theme for the show/event but this is an all-ages event so please consider this when selecting work to apply with. All work must be approved by the jury before being installed in the space. All care will be taken to protect work in the exhibition, but work will not be insured. If selected artists must drop off and pick up work in person, no shipped work please.)
