Kati Fernandez Lambert is an illustrator and author living in Madison, Wisconsin. She has an AAS from the American Academy of Art, and a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She feels strongly that picture books are an important way to nurture the inner lives of all humans and foster their curiosity, wonder, and courage for a changing and difficult world. She loves making picture and stories full of diversity and inspired by nature, world faiths, and celebrations of all kinds.
Kati is also a trained Nature Connection Mentor and has a background in outdoor and after-school enrichment programming for young people, as well as a master's degree in counseling psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is currently seeking representation in the field of children’s publication.
