Artist Statement:
“The richness of the urban ecology in Madison never ceases to surprise me. Finding owl tracks in the fresh snow, a heart-shaped lichen, or a fish tail a mile from Lake Wingra leaves me full of awe and wonder. They remind me that despite our parking lots and stoplights and noise, the magical delights of nature abound. My art attempts to capture and share the beautiful moments happening right outside our front door.” —Katherine Moore
