Future Primitive

Drawing is revolutionary. Great draughtspeople appear out of nowhere regardless of gender, class or background, and their talent is irrefutable. Where Drawing goes, there goes Art. Future Primitive was a one-day pop-up group show that highlights the drawings of Midwest artists from a range of genres including graffiti, tattoo art, fashion design, comic book- and graphic novel-based art, and painting.

Gabriel Carrasquillo Jr. presented “Foundations of Chicago Graffiti” and a short film by Anthony Lewellen was screened in the evening. Sound was provided by Destructo.
