Justin Bitner

Central Library Bubbler Room

September - November 2014

Justin Bitner is interested in the musicality of the everyday object. He is a graduate of the MFA Studio Art program at the University of Wisconsin where he was a University Fellow. During this time he was an instructor of record, teaching Two-Dimensional Design and held a Teaching Assistant position in the Woodworking/Furniture area.

“While working with the public I feel it is important to create work that reflects the community and the environment. The projects I have planned to complete while at the Madison Public Library will reflect the diversity of the patrons blended with my aesthetic. My new media work is driven by sound and memory.”

Bitner later exhibited with the Bubbler in his solo exhibition Juxtaposition of Dichotomies in 2016.
