Alanna Stapleton
Central Library Bubbler Room
January - February 2020
During this residency, Alanna Stapleton collaborated with the community to create a series of illustrative works that examine everyday processes. She focused on drawing the βhowβ in relationship to the βwhyβ: exploring the how-to, the A-Z, and all the in-betweens.
Stapleton is an illustrator, embroidery artist, and educator. She earned a BFA in Illustration from Northern Michigan University in 2015 and completed an MFA in Visual Studies from Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2018. Her work explores the humor found in everyday experiences and the connections between objects and memory.
