Chele Ramos is a Madison-based artist with a love for portraiture. Her series at Meadowridge Library celebrates artists who work across a diverse array of media and performance.

“My current body of work is a set of watercolor portraits of Madison area artists and artisans. I chose to portray artists in action as a way to highlight them and what they do for their community. Everything in our lives is created or touched by a creative—the books we read, the movies we watch, the art on our walls, the food we eat, etc. Artists make the world a more beautiful place to be, so that is why I chose to paint the artists at work.’” —Chele Ramos
